Susan Vannucci D.O. graduated from U.C. Berkley with a Bachelor of Science degree in clinical nutrition. She worked as a nutritionist in the fitness industry before entering medical school at the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona, California. Dr. Vannucci completed a rotating internship at Los Angeles County USC Hospital, and an OB/GYN residency at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Vannucci has worked at the Sutter North Medical Group in Marysville, California in a busy Obstetrics and Gynecology practice for two years and then at El Gato Medical Group for Women in Los Gatos, California.

In Los Gatos, Dr. Vannucci became the director of the Menopause Institute of Northern California. The Institute was established in 1993 to assist women in their quest for knowledge and treatment of hormonal issues. Dr. Vannucci has helped women of all ages...young women suffering from PMS, new mothers encountering Postpartum Depression, or middle aged women uncomfortable with menopausal symptoms. She believes in bio-identical hormone replacement.

In 1998 Dr. Vannucci and her family relocated to Roseburg, Oregon where she and her husband founded Umpqua Valley Women's Care, P.C.  The practice centers on the women’s wellness in addition to gynecology.  The practice incorporates nutrition, fitness and prevention to all aspects of care.  Steven Vannucci, CDT,   performs DXA scans to evaluate for bone loss. Dr Vannucci is a certified clinical densitometrist by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry.  She evaluates the scans and offers therapeutic regimens for the patients.

In 2004, Dr. Vannucci received a Naturopathic Medical Doctor degree from Clayton College of Natural Health.  She believes in the ability of the body to heal itself and offers alternative treatments.  She incorporated First Line Therapy into her practice and has seen over 600 patients enter the program.  The program has allowed patients to obtain their health again and stop their medications for diabetes, hypertension, elevated cholesterol and arthritis.

Dr. Vannucci is a member of the Oregon Medical Association, the International Society of Clinical Densitometry and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Clayton College of Natural Health, where Dr. Vannucci received her ND, does not have accreditation recognized by the United States Department of Education and has not been approved by the office of Degree Authorization.
